HIGH VELOCITY DESIGN

PROVEN

The SFCT-PSF operates at up to 20 m³/hr/m² — an exceptional capacity for a pressure sand filter, keeping the vessel compact and the installation economical while delivering filtrate of superior quality.

Because it is a pressure vessel, line pressure is retained through the filter. There is no re-pumping downstream, which makes it the natural choice inside an existing pressurised circuit.

VELOCITY

HIGH VELOCITY DESIGN

Competent to operate at up to 20 m³/hr/m² of filter area, keeping the unit both compact and economical without compromising filtrate quality.

MEDIA

SPECIAL FILTER MEDIA

Mono crystalline quartz sand of selected particle size with accurate graduated sizing, removing inlet suspended solids up to 100 ppm.

BACKWASH

3-STEP AIR–WATER WASH

Primary air scouring, secondary washing with air and water, then tertiary washing with water. Streams enter below the drain system and are forced concurrently up through the bed, dislodging accumulated impurities.

DISTRIBUTION

UNIFORM AIR–WATER DISTRIBUTION

A state-of-the-art filter bottom ensures uniform flow during both service and backwash and prevents head loss, with air supplied through lower-lying distributor pipes containing outlet ports.

EFFICACY

ENHANCED BACKWASH

Air distributed by positive control is then distributed by wash water uniformly at no loss of head. The washing effect of water and air is cumulative, achieving high backwash efficacy.
